Requirements:
Goal: The aim of the course is that students overcome the basics of theory and application of electronic stability, safety, comfort and convenience systems in vehicles.
Outcome: Upon passing the exam, the student will be able to check the correctness of electronic stability, safety, comfort and convenience systems in vehicles.
Contents of the course
Theoretical instruction:
  1. Safety of motor vehicles.
  2. Basics of dynamics of motor vehicles.
  3. Braking system.
  4. Antilock braking system – ABS.
  5. Electronic stability program – ESP.
  6. Automatic brake functions.
  7. Traction control system – TCS.
  8. Automatisation of transmission.
  9. Electronic control of transmission operation – ЕТС.
  10. Active steering systems.
  11. Systems for passenger protection.
  12. Systems for heating, ventilation and air conditioning of vehicles.
  13. Vehicle security systems.
  14. Perspectives of the development of a safety, comfort and convenience systems.
  15. Colloquium
Practical instruction (Problem solving sessions/Lab work/Practical training):
  1. Practical training program follows the lecture. Students independently or with the help of teachers in the laboratory in modern vehicles using advanced diagnostic devices to check the correctness of electronic stability, safety and comfort and convenience systems in vehicles.
